The Sound of Music opens Riverside Theatre Works’s landmark 45th Anniversary Season with one of the most beloved musicals of all time. We are honored to present the Marietta Phinney Legacy Award to Pat Tierney and Massachusetts State Representative Rob Consalvo, two pillars of the Hyde Park community whose support and leadership have been instrumental to RTW’s growth and lasting impact.

The Gala will bring together community members, artists and supporters for an evening of live performances, dancing and fundraising in support of RTW’s mission. Proceeds from this event will support our future productions, youth education programs and efforts to expand access to the arts.

Long an interpreter of the songs of Stephen Schwartz, Emmy winner and Tony and Grammy nominee Liz Callaway turns her full attention to the songwriter celebrating the release of her brand-new album, The Wizard and I: Liz Callaway Sings Stephen Schwartz. Featuring songs from an extraordinary career that has spanned nearly 60-years (and in every form of media), as well as a brand new song written especially for her, Liz honors Stephen in her signature way, pairing his iconic songs with tales of their lifelong professional relationship and friendship. Featuring Academy Award and Grammy-winning tunes from Wicked, Godspell, Pippin, The Baker’s Wife, and more, The Wizard and I is a personal celebration of the man who made a witch take flight and gave a bird sight.

And the World Goes ‘Round is a vibrant musical revue celebrating the unforgettable songs of John Kander and Fred Ebb. Featuring powerhouse vocal performances and beloved songs including “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” “All That Jazz,” and “New York, New York,” this entertaining and heartfelt production takes audiences on a journey through love, loss, and laughter with some of musical theatre’s most iconic numbers.

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical brings the story and music of disco icon Donna Summer to the stage in an electrifying celebration of her life and career. Featuring more than 20 hit songs including “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls,” “Last Dance,” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” this high-energy musical follows Summer’s rise from her roots in the Boston area to international superstardom. Filled with powerhouse vocals, dazzling dance numbers, and unforgettable music, this exciting production is a tribute to one of music’s most legendary voices.
