Spring Musical Production Ages 7-13

Seussical The Musical Jr.

Students from the ages of 7 to 13 will experience the full effects of participating in a musical. Our winter Musical Theatre class offers every element of our main stage shows. The students are costumed and we run our show with lights, sound and a beautifully constructed set. During rehearsal we focus on how to read a script and create a character as well as proper dance and vocal technique. Rehearsals are every Saturday either from 9 am to 12pm or 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm depending on which cast you choose. Masks will be worn and all COVID protocol followed. 

Teen Spring Musical Production (Ages 14-18)

Show: ROCK OF AGES, Teen Edition

10am-1pm

How do you do reach the most authentic performance possible?  By understanding what qualities make you unique. By getting clear on who you are and what you bring to your performance will allow you to feel CONFIDENT in the audition room. We will learn to break down scenes from scripts and create authentic unique characters.

 

Musical Theatre Dance (Ages 10-13)

Instructors: Kerry Ann Maalouf

4:30 - 6pm

 This class will center around a vigorous warm up, technique building combinations and learning choreography from different musicals. The style will vary from week to week and the class will focus highly on telling a story through dance and dance audition technique. Students will be able to apply what they learn in this class and feel confident about future musical theater dance auditions

Musical Theatre Dance (Ages 14-18)

4 - 5:30pm

 This class will center around a vigorous warm up, technique building combinations and learning choreography from different musicals. The style will vary from week to week and the class will focus highly on telling a story through dance and dance audition technique. Students will be able to apply what they learn in this class and feel confident about future musical theater dance auditions

Ain't To Proud To Sing Motown (Ages 12-18)

Instructors: Jermaine Tulloch

 

Tuesdays

5-6:30pm

A performance-based study of the musical style originated by Motown Records. An Analysis and performance of music by such artists as Stevie Wonder, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Temptations, and Gladys Knight and the Pips. An end-of-semester public performance will be scheduled. 

Acting A Song (Ages 14-18)

Instructors: Stephen & Laura Markarian

 

Fridays

5:30-7:30pm

Students will focus on honing the skills of musical theater performance. The instructor will assign a different style or genre of music every couple of weeks, and students will perform and work on their assigned songs with the instructor on crafting an audition cut, form full story arcs using objectives and tactics, vocal technique and performance. While one student is performing, the rest of the class will participate by listening and giving constructive feedback.
