About The Instructor
Robbie Mulrey graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Over the past 17 years he has been a soloist for several dance companies including Ballet Magique, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Louise Reichlin and Dancers, JADD Co., Nannette Brodie Dance Co. and Impulse Dance Company. He has been in numerous theatrical productions such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 1st National Tour, Alice in Wonderland International Tour, Aida Los Angeles/Palm Beach Opera, and West Side Story. Robbie has also had the opportunity to dance all over the Carribbean with Holland America Cruise line. He has been on faculty at Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Ballet, JAWS, as well many others.
Over the past several years he has traveled coast to coast to choreograph award-winning pieces at various studios. Robbie has been a director, judge and master teacher for numerous dance competitions throughout the United States and Canada. He also sets choreography on Companies and Universities across the United States. Recently he was head of the jazz program for the Alvin Ailey Summer Camp and has also had the opportunity to judge for the hit shows “Dance Moms” and “Dance Moms Miami”. Robbie was a featured judge in Dance Magazine’s “Spotlight on Competition” section in October 2011.
Robbie is a judge and director for Starbound National Talent Competition, and currently co- owns New York Dance Experience, the hottest live feedback convention and competition in the United States..
When in his hometown of Boston, Robbie is a professor in the dance department at Dean College in Franklin, MA.
