Into The Woods

We are so excited to announce that the Fall Teen Production will be Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim! In case you are not familiar with this masterpiece, here is a very brief synopsis:

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format. The plot follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel all tied together by an original story about a Baker and his Wife, who desperately wish to have a child, but discover that they are cursed by a Witch. The Baker and his Wife reside in a village where everyone wishes for something they cannot have. Ultimately, everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

This show is one of our absolute favorites and we cannot wait to start working on this beautiful and challenging production with all of you! We feel that the themes and messages throughout this musical are timeless and really speak to the very strange times we are living in. We know that you are up to the challenge of bringing these vibrant characters to life.

We are also beyond excited to announce that Andrew Smith will be our Music Director extraordinaire and the brilliant Caitlin Dutkiewicz will be our Stage Manager. They are both RTW alumni and we could not be more thrilled to have them on board!
